*Admin conducted Surprise inspection in offices across the District, 114 Govt employees found absent* _Salary for the month August to be kept withheld, Disciplinary action to be initiated against absentees_ *DC Doda*

DODA, AUGUST 24: Massive surprise inspection was today conducted in the offices of different departments across the Doda district on the directions of District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma.
The Divisional Administration had also directed for such inspections across the division to deal with the absenteeism and non- punctuality
Five different teams led by DC Doda Vikas Sharma, ADDC Mohd Hanief Malik, ADC Doda Dr R K Bharti, CPO Doda Parshotam Kumar, ACR Doda Sanjeev Kumar visited different offices in the Doda headquarter here to check the presence of the staff. Similarly, SDMs and Tehsildars also conducted surprise visits to the offices of their jurisdiction and send detailed report to office of DDC Doda.
It has been given out that 114 government employees were found absent from their legitimate duties. Also it was found during inspection that few offices are not maintaining attendance and leave account register.
An order issued by by DDC Doda reveals that the absent employees shall explain their position for remaining absent from their legitimate duties to the DDC Doda with in two days. Further the salary for the month of August shall remain withheld to these absentees till the justified response is presented before the authority (DDC Doda).
The DDC inspected offices of Chief Education Officer Doda, Chief Medical Office Doda, Dy CMO office, Offices of DIC, Office of PO ICDS, while ADDC Doda, ADC, CPO and ACR doda alongwith their staff inspected various other public offices established in the Doda town (District headquarter) which includes Agriculture department, CAHO, GP Fund office, PHE, ALC, ADMO, Cultural department, Social Welfare, Sericulture, Floriculture, R&B, PDD, PHE, besides other departments.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the surprise inspection was conducted to maintain punctuality and discipline in offices. He also said that disciplinary action will be initiated against the officers/employees, who were found absent from their duties and could not present satisfactory reply within given time.
The DC also emphasized upon the officers of all the departments to maintain punctuality in their offices as any kind of laxity with regard to discipline and punctuality would not be tolerated in future.
