*Childline Doda holds awareness program at Brains Development institute about various Child Protection measures* _Also Sensitise the participants about Childline toll free helpline number 1098_

Doda, August 18:

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma, today Childline Doda Centre organised an awareness cum sensitization programme at Brains Development Institute Doda about various Child Protection measures.

 

Co-ordinator Mrs Meenakshi Raina, Counsellor Mrs. Sadaf Zareen, Mr Sajad Ahmed Counsellor (ICPS) and Team Members Sabiha Khan, Faqru Nissa, Chairman of the Institute Mr K.K Bhardwaj, Managing Director Mr.Kishore Bhardwaj and other staff Members Mrs.Jameela Akhter, Anjali Rakwal and Mamta Bhagat along with the Children enrolled in the Institute were present on the occassion.

 

A painting/drawing competition was also held, in addition to this Childrens also presented few dance items, besides Counselling session was also conducted for some children. Brand Ambassador Of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao  Campaign, Miss Khushi Nirankari also participated in the said programme.

 

All the children along with staff were sensitized regarding  Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act For Children and various issues like drug abuse, child trafficking, Child marriage , Child Labour and POCSO And Role Of Child Welfare Committee (Meant for the children in need of care and protection), Juvenile justice Board  (JJB) Meant For Children in Conflict with Law. Staff as well as Children were also briefed about Various Govt.schemes including Sponsorship scheme.

 

The participants were also sensitised about the Childline toll free helpline number 1098, besides the participants were asked to give wide publicity to this toll free number so that the victim of child abuse if any, any where requires assistance shall be communicated on this number,in addition to this it has been informed to the general public to report child abuse cases if any in their surroundings on this number immediately.
