*DC Doda distributes 9 commercial vehicles to unemployed youth under MUMKIN Scheme*

DDC Doda Vikas Sharma distributed 9 commercial mini load carriers to selected unemployed youth under “MUMKIN” scheme at District Employment and Counselling Centre Akram Abad Doda.
Pertinent to mention here that MUMKIN is a Customized Livelihood Scheme for the Youth in the age group 18-35 of J&K launched by Hon’ble LG J&K in Nov. 2020.
In the vehicle distribution ceremony under MUMKIN Scheme which was today organised by DE&CC Doda, ADDC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, GM DIC Khalid Hussain Malik, ARTO Kuldeep Kumar, AD Employment Doda Anoop Kumar, LBO VK Raina remained present besides officials of DE&CC Doda, Mahendra and TATA company.
Earlier in the month of May 2021 the applications were invited through JK e-Services Portal and about 124 applications were received online in respect of District Doda. After due verification & scrutinization of the application, District Level Implimentation Committee (DLIC)chaired by DC Doda approved 70 applications during the first phase. 3 commercial vehicles are already handed over to the beneficiaries approved by DLIC in the last month.
The purpose of the Scheme is to facilitate the youth to establish a sustainable livelihood line in transport sector by providing financial assistance for purchase of small commercial vehicles.
Under the Scheme Banking Partner extend loan facility to the extent of 100% of the On-road Price of the vehicle purchased . Mission Youth, J&K provides an amount of Rs 80,000 or 10% of on-road price of the vehicle (whichever is lesser) as upfront subsidy.
The vehicle manufacturer (Scheme Partner of Govt.) also provide an upfront special discount, not less than the amount of subsidy.
On the occasion DC Doda congratulated the recipient beneficiaries and wished them success in their chosen livelihood under transport sector.
