*DC Doda finalises Independence Day arrangements*

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of officers, to finalize the arrangements for the ensuing Independence Day- 2021 celebration, here at Conference Hall of DC Office Complex Doda.
During the meeting threadbare discussions were held regarding hoisting of tricolour,
security arrangements, traffic, security passes, seating arrangements, decoration, Shehnai vadan, commentators, illumination of offices, PAS, Power and water supply, sanitation, medicare facilities, invitation cards, cultural activities, display of tableaus, fire tenders etc.
The meeting was informed that the main function of the celebrations will be held at Sports Stadium Doda, where the chief guest would unfurl the National Flag at 8:55 AM, followed by inspection of the parade.
It was decided that march-past will be presented by contingents including of J&K Police, IRP 5th BN, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC ( Sr and Jr wing), various schools shall participate in the march past as per the past practices besides limited colorful cultural programme will also be held on the occasion keeping in view the Covid-19 protocol.
The DC directed the education department that all the participants from various schools shall be properly following Covid appropriate behaviour, besides directed them to restrict the participation below 9th standard.
Sensitizing officers about their role and responsibility, the DC Doda instructed to ensure that all arrangements are made in advance and stressed on making fool-proof arrangements for smooth conduct of the celebrations in all Panchayats, Tehsils and Blocks of District Doda.
He also stressed on creating awareness on COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour through announcements at all venues, besides directed all the officers that flag hoisting shall be conducted in all govt institutions which includes schools, panchayat ghars and govt offices.
The DC also directed the concerned to ensure that all the abundant school buildings being handed over to the various departments shall be made functional and Youth Clubs shall be asked to do flag hoisting at those locations, besides to conduct other awareness programs to be decided by DYSSO.
He emphasized on making proper seating arrangements for all invitees besides similar instructions were given to the concerned to ensure organizing cultural performances at the venue with following of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour during the celebrations.
Among others the meeting was attended by SP Doda, ADC Doda, ACR Doda, Joint Director Planning Doda, besides officers from SSB, Police, Health and concerned district officers remained present in the meeting.
