*DDC Doda hold public outreach program at Bhaderwah, Meets PRIs, ULB, Scores of Public deputations, Civil Society members* _Directs Officers to redress the grievances raised by public representatives on priority basis, Asks to avoid unnecessary delays in making financial transactions to the beneficiaries_ *Handed over handbook “Jammu and Kashmir Marching to a new tune” to PRIs and ULB members.*

As a part of the ongoing out reach program of the District Administration and to bring administration at the doorstep of the public for adress of their grievances, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vikas Sharma today conducted an extensive tour of Bhaderwah area of Doda district.
 
He met BDC chairpersons, District Development Council members, representatives of NGOs,  social workers, Sarpanches, civil society members, and general public. 
 
During the course of the daylong marathon interactive session with the various participants, threadbare discussion held with regard to the works ongoing or held up under various sectors which includes PHE, PWD, RDD, PDD, MC, PMGSY, tourism department etc.
 
While reviewing the RDD sector, the DDC directed the BDO to ensure that the grievances raised by the BDC Chairperson shall be disposed off within 15 days by providing all the relevant information, besides asked to avoid unnecessary delays in making financial transactions to the PMAY beneficiaries for timely completion.
 
The DDC also directed the BDO to expedite the estimation and execution of all the works approved under MGNREGA and 15th FC, besides asked to hold monthly review meeting under the chairmanship of BDC chairperson on every Monday of first week of every month hence forth.
 
With regard to Awass plus verification the DDC directed the BDO to publish the list of beneficiaries registered in the newspapers, adding to this asked to complete the verification of beneficiaries by ir before 15th of August 2021, besides asked the ADC to monitor the progress on daily basis.
 
While reviewing the PHE sector, the DDC directed the concerned to expedite the work of laying pipeline to the district jail on war footing basis, besides asked to submit the estimate and DPR for the construction of sedimentation tank in the jail to the concerned authorities so that work shall be started and completed as soon as possible.
 
The DDC also directed the Ex En PHE to hold extensive tour of the town so that ground level situation with regard to shifting and restoration of water pipelines shall be properly assessed and accordingly action plan shall be framed to do the needful.
 
The DDC said that Bhaderwah has a huge potential as a tourist attractions, directed Tourism department to stop the illegal construction ongoing without the proper permission, besides asked to maintain the cleanliness in and around the assets generated by the authority.
 
Moreover Various deputations also raised several other issues which includes shifting of water pipeline going through the drains,assets generation in the Municipality, de clogging of the drains and nallahs, transparent execution of works in all the wards of MC, shifting of wooden electric poles and wires attached with the trees immediately, payment of pending land compensation, liabilities of casual staff, restoration of all irrigation khuls, availability of staff in public institutions, parking facilities, connecting links roads in the town for de-congestion, installation of street lights, shifting of public institutions from rented buildings to vaccant government buildings etc.
 
The DDC assured that the grievances raised shall be addressed by the concerned authorities on priority basis, besides asked the officers of line departments to maintain close liaisoning with elected representatives so that public issues shall be redressed with utmost importance.
 
DDC also handed over  handbook ” *Jammu and Kashmir Marching to a new tune*  _Towards prosperity, progress & peace_ ” to PRIs and ULB members here during public outreach program at Bhaderwah.
 
The meeting was attended by ADC Bhaderwah, DFO Bhaderwah,Tehsildar Bhaderwah, Ex En PWD, PHE, I&FC, DIO Doda, BMO Bhaderwah,BDO Bhaderwah, besides other officers/officials of various departments were also present.
