*DDC Doda Reviews Progress Under Jal Jeevan Mission* _Directs to ensure cent percent saturation of tap water facility in the institutions before the set deadline_

In order to ensure 100 percent coverage under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vikas Sharma chaired a meeting with sectorial officers here today.

 

The meeting discussed physical progress of JJM works being executed in the district as 100 percent Tap water connection to Schools, Anganwadi Centres, Health Institutions and Gram Panchayats.

 

While reviewing the progress of water connections provided to schools and Anganwadi Centers, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Education Officer and representative of Program Officer ICDS to share the data of uncovered schools and Anganwadi Centers with executive agencies to enable the department to take steps in this regard, besides directed to maintain coordination so that the target shall be achieved by or before the actual deadline.

 

He further directed the executive agencies to upload the data of those institutions on the portal having tap water facility so that the percentage of already covered shall be taken up, besides asked to speed up the ongoing works for providing tap water facility in these institutions on war footing basis.

 

The DDC also directed to achieve the targets set by the higher authorities with added rationality without making any unnecessary delays to ensure 100 percent tap water facility before 15th of August positively.

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, ACP Doda, CEO Doda, CMO Doda, Ex En PHE Doda, Spl Sub Division Gandoh, besides other concerned Officers of the executive departments.
