*DC Doda reviews measures for opening of higher Educational institutions/ X / XII classes* _Directs Health department to immediately set up 10 dedicated vaccination sites for the higher educational institutions to cover the unvaccinated staff and students_

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vikas Sharma chaired a meeting with the heads of various educational institutions to discuss means and measures with regard to the start of X / XII / higher educational institutes in the district.
 
The meeting was convened in view of the government’s consideration of partially opening of the educational institutions.
 
On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held during which various aspects were duly delibrated. The concerned authorities also put forth their suggestions and feedback pertaining to the matter.
 
While reviewing the vaccination status of the staff members and students above 18 years, the DC directed the CMO Doda to constitute  dedicated vaccination teams for the institutions to vaccinate the left out staff members and students above 18 years with immediate effect, besides said that the vaccination teams shall also conduct the mass vaccination drive to vaccinate the locals in the adjoining of the education institutions who are not yet vaccinated.
 
Further the DC secured feed back from the CEO regarding action taken in compliance to the govt order, regarding recieving NOCs/ consent from the parents of the students so that viable action plan shall be framed to open the schools for the 10th and 12th class students, besides directed the higher education authorities to frame the action plan to start the classes of the vaccinated students in the upcoming days.
 
He emphasized upon the concerned authorities to ensure that appropriate COVID behaviour is followed in letter and spirit besides termed  it vital for averting exigencies.
 
Among others ADC Doda, Principal Government Degree College Doda, Principal Government Polytechnic Institute Doda, Chief Medical officer, Chief Education officer, Superintendent ITI Doda/ Bhaderwah and other concerned Head of Institutions and Officers/Officials of District Covid Cell were present in the meeting.
