*DDC Chairman reviews progress on District Capex Budget, MGNREGA and PMAY of RDD for current financial year.*

Doda, September 09;District Development Council Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal reviewed the action plan, implementation and  execution of works under District Capex budget for current financial Year (works), for RDD department today, here in Meeting Hall of DC office Doda.

 

Block wise, work wise detailed deliberations were made in the meeting wherein each BDO submitted details of the works approved, estimates received, estimates pending with reasons, AAs accorded, tenders floated and works started on ground.

 

The chair was apprised that total of 1460 works were approved for the district under Capex budget for current financial year, for 1156 works estimates/ technical sanction have been recieved, for 720 works Administrative Approvals have been accorded and for 455 works tenders have been floated till date. 

 

Chairman also reviewed the the status of MGNREGA, PMAY and other schemes being implemented by the Rural development department. 

The Chair was apprised that 11412 works were approved under MGNREGA for the current financial year out of which 40% works have been taken up and are at different stages of completion. Out of 18.86 lacs approved PDs 37% PDs have been generated so far.

Regarding PMAY it was informed that 12154 cases of identified eligible beneficiaries have been sanctioned out of which 5959 have been completed which is  49% in terms of achievement in this sector.

 

Vice Chairman while addressing the meeting stressed for early tendering of the approved works for timely completion of  works of public importance. Besides asked BDOs to participate personally in some of the Gram Sabha and inspect the physical progress of the taken up works at Panchayat level for better understanding of issues raised by public.  

 

Chairman while concluding the meeting urged BDOs and Engineering department to work in synergy and gear up the men and machinery for reaching upto the expectations of the people. He informed the officers that corrigendum for the approved works shall only be proposed on merits and with proper approval of Gram Sabha. He also directed the RDD Officials to deliver the public services in  transparent and efficient manner so that benifits of the schemes could reach to the eligible beneficiaries intime and development is possible in each and every corner of the district. 

 

The meeting was attended by Vice Chairperson DDC Miss Sangeeta Rani, ADDC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, ACD Doda Mohammad Idrees Lone, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ashfaq Ahmad Khanji, DIO Doda, BDOs, Xen REW, AD Planning DC office. Besides other officials of RDD department were also present in the meeting.
