*DDC Doda reviews progress of iconic project of GMC Doda* _Directs the executing agencies to expedite the work in double shifts for timely completion_

Doda, September 25:

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda,Vikas Sharma today chaired the meeting of concerned officers here in his office chamber of DC office to review the physical progress of the iconic project of under construction GMC Doda.

 

During the meeting threadbare discussion held with regard to various components which includes creation of dedicated sub station, separate water supply scheme, sanitary fitting, fire safety equipment fitting, fitting of lifts, besides other various critical components were also discussed.

 

The DDC while reviewing the physical progress directed the executing agencies to ensure that the work is being done in double shifts, besides asked to manage the man power to complete the fire fitting and lift fitting on war footing basis.

 

With regard to dedicated water supply scheme for the GMC, Ex En PHE apprised the DDC that after tendering for the fifth time finally got the response and in the upcoming days it will be allotted to the concerned contractors so that they shall start the work on  the project as per the key term  basis.

 

The DDC directed the concerned authorities to get it done on war footing basis, besides asked them to start the work as soon as possible, as it is the critical component keeping in view the smooth functioning of the institution.

 

While reviewing the creation of seperate sub station for the GMC Doda, the Ex En STD stated that untill the land leveling shall not be done by the PWD the work shall not be expedited, in addition to this the Ex En PWD apprised the DDC that the work has already been tendered but due to the non availability of the funds it can not be allotted.

 

The DDC directed both the agencies to jointly submit the project requirements in detail by Monday covering all the critical components, in addition to this asked the Principal GMC to submit the work wise detail held up in various critical components so that matter shall be put forward before the higher authorities.

 

The meeting was attended by Principal GMC Doda, SE PWD, CPO Doda, Ex En PDD, PWD, PHE, STD, Deputy Director GMC, besides other concerned officials.
