*ADC Doda holds meeting on implementation of District Environmental Plan at Doda.*

DODA November 18: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr RK Bharti held review of implementation of District Environmental Plan here in his office chamber today.

 

The  District Environment Committee meeting was  informed that special plantation drive has been taken up by the forest department in the villages in consultation with PRIs. The meeting was also informed that awareness activities are going on in the district on Environmental hazards of using polythene thinner than 75 microns and plastic materials.

 

The meeting was apprised that notices have been served to Municipalities and health department for mismanagement of solid waste. In this regard the chair directed the concerned authorities to comply the directions as per the provisions of prevailing environmental laws.

 

Besides the committee held threadbare discussion regarding action taken on execution of DEP in the district by different departments, which include Solid Waste management, Plastic waste management, Bio-medical Waste Management, Domestic Sewage Management, Water Waste Management, demolition waste management etc.

 

The committee members  present in the meeting include ACP/DPO Doda, DMO Doda, DEPO Doda, Div. Officer PCC, Xen  Jal Shakti Division Doda, DIO Doda, Sanitary Inspector CMO office Doda, and representative of DFO Doda.
