*Advisor Bhatnagar visits Doda* _Inspects ongoing construction works on GMC Doda_
DODA, NOVEMBER 24: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today visited Government Medical College, Doda and inspected the ongoing construction works there.
The Advisor was accompanied by Principal Secretary PWD (R&B) Shalindra Kumar, Principal GMC Doda, Dr. Noor Ali, Additional District Commissioner, Doda, Ravi Bharti, XENs of R&B, PHE, PDD, senior officers of health, PWD and other allied departments.
During their visit, Advisor Bhatnagar examined the ongoing construction works on various segments of the GMC like Administration Block, Boys and Girls Hostel, residential Blocks and other outdoor developmental works.
The Advisor directed the officers of executing agencies to expedite the pace oo ongoing works and complete the process of construction within stipulated time period. He asked the officer to handover the buildings which have been completed so that they can be made functional and used for the required purpose. Advisor Bhatnagar further delved upon the officers to carry regular visit to construction site so that the progress of work can be assessed and monitored on regular basis and quality of work is maintained.
While taking stock of basic facilities in the GMC building, the Advisor directed the XEN PHE and XEN PDD to take up the matter on priority and provide the basic facilities of water and electricity in the GMC at the earliest.
Later on, the Advisor visited the District and Associated Hospital of GMC and took stock of medical facilities being provided to the general public besides reviewed its functioning.
During the visit, Advisor Bhatnagar inspected different sections of the hospital and wards and also interacted with the hospital authorities as well as staff. He directed the concerned officers for upgradation of facilities at the hospital so that better patient care is provided.
The Advisor also inspected the construction works on additional blocks of the hospital and observed that the ongoing works for Emergency ward should be re-examined.
During the visit, the Principal informed the Advisor regarding the faculty position of the hospital besides other related issues.
