*DC Doda reviews winter preparedness* _Directs all concerned to activate emergency control rooms immediately, Stress to promptly address the distress calls during winter season on priority basis_

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vikas Sharma, chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to take stock of the arrangements to be put in place during the ensuing winter season.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasized on readying men and machinery to ensure timely redressal of weather vagaries and subsequent interruptions of supply of water, electricity and road closure due to rains and snowfall during the winter months.
With regard to ensure hassle free supply of ration, AD FCS&CA apprised the DDC that advance dumping of ration and its requirement has already been sent to the higher authorities and till November advance dumping of three months ration will be done, besides the DDC directed the concerned to ensure that there shall be no shortage of ration in the district and strict action shall be taken against the erring official.
Further the DDC directed all the stakeholders to ensure that their emergency control room shall be activated with immediate effect, besides asked them to submit the location wise areas, name and number of the Officials so that they shall be widely publicized for the general public.
In addition to this the DDC directed all the stakeholders to promptly address the distress calls during the winters, besides asked them to maintain all the grievance records in the register in comprehensive manner.
With regard to availability of men and machinery the DDC directed the executing agencies to ensure that there shall be sufficient number of machinery available in the district so that roads shall be completely open during the snowy days especially in the rural and far off place of the district, besides asked the ARTO and SE PWD to identify the places alongside of the highway and to place crash barriers and paraphets there on priority basis.
Regarding SDRF the DDC directed the concerned to have QRTs in place in far off places of the district including their main response team on priority basis so that far off places shall also be covered if any exigency occurs during winters.
The DDC while reviewing the availability of ambulances in the district, the Dy CMO apprised the DDC that around 40 ambulances are available in the district at present, for which the DDC asked them to share their locations, name of the driver and Mobile Number for wide publicity so that the emergency situation if any occurs during the winters shall be tackled in well manner especially in the far off places.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, ASP Bhaderwah, CPO Doda, ACR Doda, SE PWD, Ex Mechanical department, PHE, PMGSY, AD FCS &CA, Dy CMO, AEE PDD, Officials of SDRF besides other concerned were also present.
