*DDC discusses implimentation & IEC activities of JJM in the District.* _Directs to start IEC activities at village level at an earliest._

Doda, November 18: DDC Doda Vikas Sharma today  discussed implimentation of JJM in the District and start of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities in  a meeting in Mini Meeting Hall of DC office with the officers of Jal Shakti department and officials of Grameen Vikas Trust (NGO).

 

The meeting was informed that Jal Shakti Kendra is uploading the newly created Pani Panchayat Simitis village wise on the designated portal & 258 out of 400 Simitis have been uploaded till date. In this regard DDC directed the concerned to  upload the remaining  Simitis as early as possible so that the capacity building programme of the members of Pani Pachayat Simitis shall be taken up.  Besides DDC directed to place banners & hoardings at prominent places in villages for vide publicity of the Jal Jeevan Mission initiative of the government. 

 

It was informed that Grameen Vikas Trust has been alloted 80 villages of Gandoh, Chilly Pingal and Kahara blocks for IEC activities. The DDC asked the Grameen Vikas Trust officials to share the calendar of activities with his office and start activities in villages for better implimentation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the District.

 

While reviewing the implimentation of Jal Shakti Mission, it was given out that for all 204 schemes with an estimated cost of 706. 88 crores the DPRs are in final stage. 

Also it was informed that out of 400 no. of Village action plans (VAP), 214 VAPs are uploaded on the designated  portal. While it was apprised that out of total 224 existing schemes 29 stands completed, while 195 are ongoing which include schemes under JJM also. 

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, ACP DODA, DIO Doda, Xen Jal Shakti Doda & Bhaderwah, besides other officials of Jal Shakti department were also present in the meeting.
