*Department of Social Welfare Doda concludes four day long Assesment Camp for Specially abled persons in Colaboration with ALIMCO at Gandoh* _Around 275 specially abled persons registered for nearly 400 different assistive devices_(DSWO)

To ensure 100 saturation in providing the benefits to specially abled persons across the district,the Social Welfare Department Doda today concluded a 4 day long assesment camp drive under Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) in Collaboration with Artificial Limbs Corporation of India (ALIMCO) at Gandoh sub division under the overall guidance of DC Doda Vikas Sharma and in supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Doda Zubair Ahmed Lone.
 
In the said event  assesment of around 560 persons was conducted by the team from ALIMCO in presence of Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Gandoh Touseef Zargar and other staff members from Social Welfare Department and out of which around 275 persons have been identified as specially abled and they will be provided nearly 400 different assistive devices which ever needed in near future free of cost .
 
In the said assesment camp the differently abled persons were also  made aware about various other welfare schemes run by the Department for differently abled persons.
 
Moreover it has been given out by the official that similar kind of assessment camp will be organised across the district at different locations for which the schedule for the general public information has already been circulated in print and electronic media and asked all the specially abled person’s to visit these camp at their nearby locations on priority basis
