*Department of Social Welfare Doda kick-starts Assesment Camp for Specially abled persons in Colaboration with ALIMCO at Thathri* _All the persons identified in these camps will be provided different types of prosthetic aid free of cost_(DSWO)

To ensure 100 saturation in providing the benefits to specially abled persons across the district,the Social Welfare Department Doda today kickstarted an assesment camp drive under Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) in Collaboration with Artificial Limbs Corporation of India (ALIMCO) at Thathri under the overall supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Doda Zubair Ahmed Lone.

 

In the said event  assesment of around 43 persons was conducted by the team from ALIMCO in presence of Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Thathri  and other staff members from Social Welfare Department and out of whichand all of them have been identified as specially abled and they will be provided with the prosthetic Aids ehich ever needed in near future free of cost .

 

In the said assesment camp the differently abled persons were also  made aware about various other welfare schemes run by the Department for differently abled persons.

 

Moreover it has been given out by the official that similar kind of assessment camp will be organised across the district at different locations for which the schedule for the general public information has already been circulated in print and electronic media and asked all the specially abled person’s to visit these camp at their nearby locations on priority basis.
