To discuss the modalities for smooth implementation of Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) in the district,  Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of concerned officers, here at DC office complex.
Pertinently, the UT of Jammu & Kashmir has rolled out Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) with the aim to ensure expeditious improvement in the Socio-Economic status of 44 most backward Blocks of the UT.
In Doda district, Kastigarh and Chilli Pingal Blocks are being taken up under ABDP based on 21 performance indicators covering four major aspects of Human Development i,e Poverty (3 indicators), Health & Nutrition (6 Indicators), Education (7 Indicators) and Basic Infrastructure (5 Indicators) in consultation with NITI Ayog, GOI.
At the outset, the DC appointed DSEO Doda as District Nodal Officer cum Coordinator while ACD Doda has been designated as Nodal officer for Kastigarh and SDM Gandoh as Nodal Officer for Chilly Pingal block for coordination of works and implementation of the program.
The DC directed all the concerned line departments  to submit the details of activities which have been carried out in these blocks covering all the identified parameters highlighting the achievements till date to the concerned block level Nodal officers/BDOs, so that a comprehensive base line report shall be formulated for future course of action.
Further DC directed the DSEO to submit the base line document by taking all the necessary information from the respective quarters in coordination with the block level Nodal officers by next Wednesday, so that a basic factual position shall be understanded with respect to the identified indicators and accordingly action plan shall be devised to achieve the tangible and desired results.
The DC directed all the line departments to synergize their efforts with special preference on the basic criteria already identified, besides asked them to achieve the left out targets by mobolising all the necessary resources at their disposal.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SDM Gandoh, DFO Doda, DSEO Doda, DSWO Doda, DIO Doda, DEPO Doda, BDO Kastigarh, AD Employment, AD FCS&CA, CAO Doda, BDO Headquarter, AD Planning DC office, besides other representatives of other departments were also present.
