*NYK Doda organises District Youth Convention and cultural programme at Doda*

Doda, December 28; In a series of events celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Nehru Yuva Kendra Doda incollaboration with District Administration Doda organised “Promotion of Art and Culture” as well as “District Youth Convention” programme at Town Hall Doda. More than 15 cultural teams performed in the event, most of them focused upon folk art and culture.

 

 The event started with the welcome address by the District Youth Officer Sh. Khushal Gupta. He welcomed the guests and briefed the participants about the objectives of organising such events. The Chief Guest of the programme was ACD Doda Sh. Mohd Idrees Lone and Guests of Honour were SDM Thathri Er Ather Amin, DIO Doda Sh. Ashraf Wani, AD Employment Dr. Sushant Mahajan and Culture Officer Sh. Salahuddin.  The special guets were Principal Govt Hr Sec School (Boys) Sh. Tanveer Ahmed,  Prof. Anita Kotwal and Educationist Sh. Om Parkash.

 

Students of different educational institutions including GDC Doda, Govt ITI, Polytechnic College and various youth clubs participated in the event. The stage was hoisted by Sh. Arif Rana and the programme was managed by TOT Jugnu Bhagat, Ahamer Ahmed and Surjeet Singh. 

 

ACD Doda Sh. Mohd Idrees Lone appreciated the initiatives taken by NYK Doda for giving the local youth, a platform to show their talent and motivated the youth to keep participating in such programmes. At the end, momentos and certificates were presented to the participants. The sports material kits were also distributed among the participating youth clubs.
