*DDC Chairman inaugurates Trek Route in village Gadi*

Doda, February 13- Celebrating on the lines Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav,  DDC  Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal inaugurated Forest Trek Route spanning 14 km from village  Maneshi to Makkhan Baggi via historical Lal Dramman at village Maneshi. The Chief guest DDC Chairman Doda was accompanied by CF Chenab Dr.Jitrndra Singh, DFO Doda.

 

Forest department on the directions of Hon’ble Lt.Governor has inaugurated Forest Trek routes across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Appreciating the efforts of the department, DDC Chairman said trekking is emerging as potential adventure for the youths and everyone who is fond of the trails. He also appreciated the department for fixing the signages, boards to make trek more exciting, however he asked the department to establish Bio-toilets for keeping surrounding clean along  the trail. He further added that youths should be given awareness of the trekking to avail its benefits. 

The inaugural function was attended by other dignitaries including BDC chairman, ACD Doda, PRIs and local people. It was an applausible effort by the team of the forest department to organize such a novel event in area under the supervision of Range Officer Siraj.
