*DDC Doda discusses modalities for the launch of ‘Sansad Khel Spardha’ in the district* _Finalises three sports activities scheduled to be carried out under the event, Directs DYSSO to frame a comprehensive fixture keeping in view the convenience of participating players_

District Development Commissioner Doda,Vikas Sharma today chaired meeting of key officials of different departments to discuss the modalities and arrangements to be put in place in advance for the launch of ‘Sansad Khel Spardha’ a national initiative to identify the local talent in different sports activities so that the players shall find a place at national and next levels.
 
During the meeting the DYSSO informed the DDC that around 237 panchayats and around  37 muncipal wards will be participating in the event in which around 3300 local players shall participate in the age group of under 17 in different sports activities, besides informed that the event shall be inter panchayat level from where local players shall be identified for next level competition.
 
The DDC during the meeting finalised three games which shall be played during the event which includes Kho kho, kabaddi and volleyball, besides directed the DYSSO to frame a structural plan about the hassle free conduct of the event keeping in view the Covid-19 guidelines and convenience of the participants.
 
Further the DDC directed the DYSSO to co-ordinate with the Personnel from Police, Army and other concerned departments so that viable plan shall be framed, besides asked the ADC Bhaderwah to identify the places in coordination with SDM Thathri so that winter sports shall also be organised in Bhaderwah area in smooth manner.
 
The DDC informed the meeting that it is a national event that requires extra efforts and rational planning so that the aims and objectives of the event shall be fulfilled in the letter and spirit.
 
The meeting was attended by SSP Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, GM NHIDCL, DYSSO Doda, Functional Manager DIC. Besides, other concerned officials were also present.
