*DDC Doda reviews performance of PMGSY department* _Directs SE PMGSY to take disciplinary action against low performing engineers, Seeks reasons for not blacklisting defaulter contractors_

District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today chaired the meeting of  key officials of PMGSY department here at DC office complex, wherein the DDC took appraisal of the performance and achievement of the department during the current ongoing financial year.

 

During the meeting the DDC enquired about the targets fixed for the department under Blacktopping, metaling, shingling, fair weather roads, coverage of targetted habitations, besides sought details with regard to the works being held up or having low progress and other bottlenecks.

 

While reviewing the division and AEE wise progress the DDC showed serious concern for low performance against the above mentioned indicators, besides directed the concerned AEEs to expedite the progress so that people of the concerned area get the connectivity at the earliest. Salary of an AEE having poor performance  was ordered to be withheld by the DDC.

 

The DDC also directed to monitor the progress on daily basis and to review the progress work wise of each sub division, besides directed to take strict action against the low performing employees and sought reasons for not blacklisting  the defaulter contractors for their casual attitude and delay  in the execution of the alloted works.

 

Further, the DDC directed the department to ensure  that no work is held up or delayed by any contractor . He asked to submit the feasibility report on the application of Evotherm technology in the district by this evening.

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SE PMGSY, Ex En PIU Doda and AD Planning. Besides, AEEs and JEs were also present.
