*ADC, Inaugurates Road Safety Week 2023, Swachhata Pakhwada & Joint Traffic Naka at 9th Kms near Assar.*

DODA, Jan 11: Motor Vehicles Department (MVD), Doda organized a Road Safety Awareness Program for inauguration of Road Safety Week 2023, Swachhata Pakhwada from 11th to 17th January & Joint Traffic Naka at 9th Kms on Batote Doda national highway near Assar. 

 

Dr. R.K Bharti ADC, Doda Inaugurated the programmes in the presence of Sh. Lekh Raj SDM Assar, Sh. Kuldeep Singh ARTO Doda, Sh. Baljit Singh DySP Traffic, Sh. Popinder Kotwal SHO Assar, Sh. Javed Kataria DTI, and Er. Harjote Singh NHIDCL & Staff of MVD, Doda.

As per the directions of Sh. Vishesh Paul Mahajan, Deputy Commissioner (Chairman DRSC) Doda, a Joint Traffic Naka of MVD,Traffic Police, and District Police has been established at 9th Kms Batote & will remain functional till 17th of January with the prime focus on the activities to Check the Fatigue of Truck /Tractor/ Trolley /Tipper Drivers and to impart Road Safety Awareness, Check the Rear Side of Truck and Tractor Trolley about Red Light or Retro Reflective Sheet to avoid rear Collision, Special Drive on NHs to stop wrong side driving, Special drive to Stop Overloading and No Vehicle should be allowed to enter the jurisdiction of District Doda in Violation of any MV Act.

ADC, Doda addressed the Drivers/Transporters/Gen Public about Road Safety & appealed them to follow Traffic Rules/Regulations while driving to avoid any sort of untoward incident for ensuring safety of the passengers as well as the road users. ARTO, Doda while addressing the gathering told that the purpose of Road Safety Programs is to inculcate the importance of Road Safety in our day to day life to ensure the personal safety as well as safety of the others. He shared the schedule of activities to be conducted during the Road Safety Week 2023 and elaborated in brief all the necessary parameters of Road Safety and the Traffic Rules/Regulations to be followed. 

 

He also spoke about the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan” and appealed to refrain from any type of Drugs/intoxicant substances for their Healthy Life and Safety of the others being carried by them in their vehicles.

 

Dy. SP Traffic also spoke on the occasion and appealed to all to follow the Traffic Rules and Regulations and to imbibe the habit of use of Seat Belts while driving four wheeler , wearing of Helmet while Driving Two-wheeler , avoid taking intoxicants while driving etc. Besides this, Pamphlets on Road safety were also distributed among the road users and Motorist by the MVD, Doda.
