*Doda Admin Celebrates 13th NVD 2023* _Use the vote responsibly for making India a strong and developed nation- DEO Doda._

Doda, January 25: To mark the 13th National Voter’s Day and to encourage newly enrolled voters for participation in electoral process, an impressive function was held today at Community Hall Doda with the theme “Nothing like Voting, I Vote For Sure”.
District Election Officer (DEO) Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, was the chief guest on the occasion. Among others present during the occasion were ACD Doda Phulail Singh, Dy DEO Doda Amresh Kotwal, CEO Doda Prahalad Bhagat, ARTO Doda DTO Doda, CAO, CHO, DIO DIPR Doda (Nodal Officer SVEEP), besdies Senior district Officers, BLO’s,scores of school students, staff of election and information department and others.
At the outset, DEO Doda administered the Voter’s Pledge to the participants. A debate on the theme “Nothing like Voting, I Vote For Sure” was held during the programme, in which students of various Degree Colleges and Schools participated. A song on Voter’s Day was presented by a girl student from Government Higher Secondary School Girls Doda.
Dy DEO, in his welcome address, briefied the participants about National Voters Day and the importance of voting in strengthening the democracy. He also threw light on various updations done by Election Commission of India time to time to make elections simple, free, and fair in the entire country.
Addressing the participants, DEO Doda said” that the aim of organizing the National Voters Day is to educate and make new voters aware of the ethical and qualitative participation in the electoral process.
He also highlighted the essence of this democratic right, which gives the opportunity to each and every citizen of this great nation without any discrimination of caste, creed, gender etc to actively participate in choosing the responsible representative to run the affairs of our country. He stressed on using this right with great responsibility for making India a strong and developed nation.
He appealed all the eligible voters to enrol themselves as electors in the electoral roll.
During the programme, various activities were held, which include voters pledge to the participants, felicitation of best performing Officers/Officials for their outstanding performance during the Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls.
It is pertinent to mention here that similar functions on 13th National Voter’s Day were also held across the District at Sub-Divisions, Tehsils, and at designated polling stations in the villages.
