  1. Free Medical Camp

Doda, January 30; The District Administration Doda today organized a free medical/ consultation camp at OPD Block of Associated Hospital GMC Doda. Dr Vijant Singh Chandail, Associate Professor in GMC Jammu and renowned Gastroenterologist of the UT consulted the patients of the district. The health department under the supervision of Dr Yaqoob Mir CMO Doda had publicised the free consultation camp across the district for the interest of the patients, which resulted in the huge foot fall of the patients making it a great success.
It is pertinent to mention here that lack of specialists in the district causes a lot of inconvenience to the patients, and they have to visit Jammu for consultation by the specialists. The free consultation camp was held here under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) and ADBHUT Doda Initiative of the District Administration.
The whole programme was conducted under the overall guidance and supervision of DC Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan. DC Doda, along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, inspected the camp and interacted with patients and staff at the venue. DC, SSP and other officers also registered and generated ABHA health card at a stall established in the camp site by the health department. ABHA or Health ID or ABHA Card is a unique identity or health locker to receive, store & share medical records from health service providers for reference with the user’s consent.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner Doda said that the Government of UT and District Administration is committed to provide better and quality healthcare services to the public in the district. The manpower, infrastructure, and machinery is being augmented in the newly established GMC Doda to meet out the health care demand of the area. He informed that administration is striving to organise more such consultation camps at the district headquarter and in the rural areas of the district to cater the health care needs of the patients. He further informed that the health department has started tele consultation services under the e-Sanjeevni scheme, and the contact numbers are already in circulation. He advised the public to take maximum advantage of tele consultation services, ABHA ID, and AB-PM JAY-SEHAT Scheme.
