*JJM orientation program for PRIs & Officials held at Doda*

DODA, JANUARY 12:- An orientation programme under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was today organised here at conference hall of DC office Doda.

 

The program was presided over by superintending Engineer hydraulic circle Doda. The programme was attended by Xen Ground water hand pumps Doda, IEC Consultant, Executive Engineer and other Officers of Jal Shati Department Doda.

 

The IEC consultant explained the aims, objectives and responsibilities of PRIs, Pani Samitis and Nodal persons in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.

 

The resource persons of Jal Shakti department Doda has given the training of Water testing with FTK to the panchayat nodal persons in the orientation program. 

 

The importance of Water sanitation and hygiene was discussed in length during the day long orientation programme.

 

Furthermore, the rain water harvesting and grey water management was also explained in detail. Hands on how can these step resolve water crises was imparted to the participants. The procedure to nominate skilled persons was also discussed in the program.

 

Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Doda, emphasized on quality construction, operation and maintenance of the JJM schemes.
