*2 Vehicles seized for illegal mining in Doda*

DODA, FEBRUARY 01: Acting tough against illegal mining, today, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, a team of Mining Department under the supervision of District Mineral Officer Doda, Sunil Manhas, with full cooperation of Police Department seized two vehicles involved in illegal mining near old wooden suspension bridge at Pul Doda.

 

The vehicles have been booked under Mining Act. The team of officials headed by DMO Doda has also destroyed the path used by sand mafia for illegal sand extraction at Pul Doda near Old Bridge.

 

Talking to the media, DMO has stated that action against illegal mining shall be intensified, and anyone involved in illegal mining shall be booked under relevant sections of the law.
