DC Doda attaches and imposes fine on Patwari; Seeks Explanation from Tehsildar & NT for failing to protect the government property

Doda, February 16; On a report that some new attempt has been made of encroachment and as the directions, time and again have been made that it will be the personal responsibility of Tehsildar and Revenue staff down under to protect Kacharie and State land/ Government Property in their respective jurisdictions, Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan today imposed fine and attached one Patwari of Patwar Halqa Bijarni for failing to protect the Government property.

 

The Tehsildar Bhagwah and Naib Tehsildar concerned have been asked to explain their position on the dereliction of their legitimate duties.

 

DC has further directed the ACR to proceed on the spot. ACR has sealed the under construction new structure, and FIR stands lodged against the encroacher.

 

The DC has warned the field staff that they shall be personally responsible for any kind of encroachment on Kacharie and State land in the district. He has asked ADC, ACR and SDMs to keep proper monitoring on all the issues related to public/ government land.
