*DC Doda reviews implementation of JJM.* Complete on top priority JJM works alloted both physically & financially by March 31st.*

 

Doda, February 01: All the Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti department Doda have been asked to complete alloted works physically and financially in the district by March 31st this year. Officers of JSD and Forest department have been instructed to settle the bottlenecks hampering the progress of works under JJM within a week to ensure that the prestigious JJM projects are timely completed and citizens are provided with safe drinking tapped water in their homes as envisaged in the scheme.

 

 These instructions were issued during a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan, who is also Chairman of District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) Doda under Jal Jeevan Mission, while reviewing the implementation of JJM in the district, here in his office chamber.

 

 The DC was informed that out of 185 tendered projects under JJM, 124 projects have been alloted, and on 106 projects, work on the ground is ongoing. On the progress of construction of Slow Sand Filtration plants, it was submitted that out of 5 allotted Slow Sand Filtration plants, work on 2 have been started on the ground.

 

The chairman (DC) showed his displeasure over the absence of Implementation Support Agency (ISA) in the meeting and asked the SE JSD to take cognizance for the non compliance of meeting notice issued. SE has been further asked to take appropriate action and get the progress and performance from the concerned ISA.

 

 The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SE Jal Shakti, DPO ICDS Doda, ACD Doda, ACP DODA, DIO Doda, Principal DIET Doda, CMO Doda, Ex Ens of JSD and Irrigation Department, AEEs, JEEs, Representative of DFO Doda and other officials of Jal Shakti department.
