*DC Doda reviews implementation of Social Welfare schemes* _Directs for 100% verification of cases in Jan Sugam portal & completion of PMAGY works by Feb 28._

Doda, February 11: Social Welfare department Doda has been instructed to speed up the ADHAAR seeding of beneficiaries for effective implementation of all schemes in DBT mode. The DSWO has been directed to complete all the approved works taken up under PMAGY & SCA to SCSP by the end of this month. ICDS and Social Welfare officials shall hold ADHAAR updation camps at Tehsil Social Welfare Offices, at Anganwadi Centres and at village level for the convenience of the general public. BASERA an abandoned orphanage at Akram Abad Doda shall be used as Orphan/ Poor Boys hostel and Old Age home under Social Welfare department. District Disability Rehabilitation Centre shall be established at an appropriate location in consultation with GMC Doda’s Authorities. 
 
These instructions came out during a review meeting of Social Welfare department Doda by District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan here in his office chamber today.
 
The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda Pran Singh, CPO Doda Suresh Kumar, DSWO Doda Tariq Qazi, DIO Doda Mohd Ashraf Wani and LDM Doda Parveen Kumar.
 
The chair was apprised that under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) 9192 beneficiaries (old age, widows and Disabled persons) are getting monthly pension @1000 rupees each, while 32918 beneficiaries (old age, widows and physically challenged persons) are getting monthly pension of rupees @1000 under Integrated Social Security scheme (ISSS).
 
 It is pertinent to mention here that both NSAP and ISSS are DBT based and in both NSAP and ISSS 70.81 beneficiary accounts have been ADHAAR Seeded.
DC has instructed DSWO Doda to make 100% accounts of the beneficiaries ADHAAR seeded by 28th of February and submit the certificate in this regard to his office.
 
Further it was informed that 15922 cases under NSAP and ISSS for updation and online registration have been received in the designated portal ‘Jan Sugam’, out of which 1429 cases have been verified and forwarded to the Directorate of Social Welfare department for release of pension in their favour. DC has set timeline of 28th of February this year for verification of all the cases submitted by the beneficiaries in the Jan Sugam portal.
 
Besides other Social Welfare schemes like State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS), NFBS, Scholarship schemes, Developmental Deliverables and National foundation for communal harmony schemes (NFFCH) were also reviewed and the officials were impressed upon to saturate all the Welfare schemes giving due benefit to the eligible and deserving once and conduct mega awareness programmes of all the Welfare schemes in all pockets of the district.
