*One Day Awareness-Cum -Training program on Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives held at Doda*

Doda, February 21; One Day Awareness-Cum -Training program on Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives was held today at Doda for Mid Day Meals Enforcement staff, frontliners FBO’s, locals by Food Safety, DFCO, Doda.

 

 Acting upon the directions of Commissioner, FDA, J&K and under the guidance of District Magistrate Doda, the team of Food Safety DFCO Doda held a Awareness-Cum -Training program on Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives for achieving the goals of the Objectives of Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives, show- casing & demanstrating the significance of Food Fortification or enrichment process of adding Micronutrients to the Food, which is being carried out by Govt. as a public Health set policy to aim at to bring down the graph of ascending numbers of dietary deficiencies, malnutritions statistics within the population in our community, and nation as well.

 

 Scaling up the health benefits of Food Fortification and Combating with the prevalent challenging issues of malnutrition and dietary defiencies in General public particularly in Children in Schools & elders at home,the Department is industriously addressing this task as an adoration and vital part of the Duties. During this workshop more than 200 MDM Teachers , staff, frontliners, Food Bussiness Operator, Stakeholders, locals, prominent citizen and public participated.

 

 Sh.Taraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety DFCO Doda made deliberations on Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives within the regulatory framework to create conducive environment for effective adoptation of Food Fortification in the District. He ensured the demonstrations of the products of Fortified Food and their properties for the welfare and health of the public.
