One day CME cum workshop on Anemia Mukt Bharat held at Assar Doda

DODA, Feb 12: 

 

With the aim to strengthen the knowledge, basic skill, professional performance of the health care professionals to provide better health care services to the public & as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the District Health Society Doda on 11-02-2023 organized one day CME cum workshop on Anemia Mukht Bharat (AMB) at Block Hqr Assar which was presided over by by CMO Doda Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar. 

 

The programme aims to strengthen the existing mechanism and foster newer strategies for tackling anemia in the District. 

 

CMO Doda Dr A H Zargar while speaking on the occasion stressed upon all the participants to ensure proper distribution of Iron Folic Acid supplements to beneficiaries and conduct regular visits for successful implementation of the programme at gross root level. 

 

Dr Zargar also underlined that ABM is one such nutrition awareness programme of GOI to bring out behaviour change in people towards health living and also aims to reduce the prevalence of anaemia by different percentage points per year among childrens, adolescents and women of reproductive age group from 15-49 years.  

 

DPM NHM Sh Jahangir Mehta presented the PPT on the subject & covers all the aspect under AMB, whereas Mohd Shafi Attu (HE) conducted the proceedings of the event. 

 

The programme was attended by BMO Assar Dr Tanveer Ahmed & Medical Officers, Paramedics including MLHPs, ANMs, BHWs, Pharmacists, ASHA Facilitators of Block Assar besides Sh Umar Khan, Sh Rishi Pandita, Sh Jonson Chandail, Sh Ashiq Hussain, Mohd Faheem Butt, Sh Om Parkash Shan and Sh Faizan A Tramboo from DHS Doda.
