_DC Doda interacts with members of women JKRLM-SHGs across the district, virtually_ *Asks for value addition of the products for better competition in the market.* *Concerned departments asked to help JKRLM-SHGs in entering food processing, packaging, IT, & agro based business.* _Offers Women SHGs space in DC office Complex to run a quality canteen._

Doda, March 03; Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Shri Vishesh Mahajan interacted with members of Women JKRLM- SHGs and Staff of JKRLM today, from his Office Chambers, virtually. The interaction was joined by 2080 women SHG Members from over 34 locations throughout District Doda along with concerned Block Programme Managers.

 

DC Doda took a detailed review about the initiatives and thematic progress (Saturation, Financial Inclusion, Livelihood initiatives, Formal & Non-Formal initiatives) of JKRLM in the District.

 

 DC Doda interacted with the Lakhpati Didis of JKRLM, whose annual income has raised above 1.00 Lakh, Women achievers, Digi Pay Sakhis, Bank Sakhis and Award Winning Cluster Coordinators associated with JKRLM Doda. The meeting was organised to streamline the coordination of all the line departments with JKRLM for better results and sorting out of issues faced by the community at ground level. 

The JKRLM is being implemented across all the blocks of District Doda having 3093 SHGs, covering 21467 members. 1162 SHGs have been created during the current financial year against the target of 1359 SHGs with 86.13% achievement.

 

 During current financial year, Rs. 13.80 Crore is disbursed to the SHGs across the District. 63 Digi Pay Sakhis have been identified, and 03 Business Correspondents were engaged through J&K Bank Ltd in the District.

 

 258 enterprises were established under Manufacturing, Service, and Trading Sectors. 2400 Mahila Kisan’s were trained under Agro ecological practices, 300 under livestock management, 2100 Agri Nutri Gardens were established, 04 Custom Hiring Centres were established with the support of 111 Krishi Sakhis & Pashu Sakhis. 

DC Doda impressed upon the value addition and support in the existing livelihoods in coordination with the concerned line departments enabling SHGs to compete in the market with high success rate and high income generation. Worthy DC Doda instructed about the self-sustenance of SHGs and the involvement of Nari Shakti in every sphere. DC has also offered a space to the women SHGs if anyone interested to run a Canteen in the DC office complex.

 

The inputs and directions through ADDC Doda & ACD Doda for the every possible support and hand holding of JKRLM team at the ground level from the Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, needs a special mention.
