_Municipal Committee Thathri welcomes the Government’s decision on property tax_

Thathri, February 28; President Muncipal Committee Thathri Mansoor Ahmed Batt along with councillors of MC Thathri, have welcomed the government’s decision for the implementation of property tax in the UT of J&K.

 

President MC Thathri has expressed his gratitude to the government and District administration in his interview with ‘Chinab Times’ news network and a resolution in this regard has been passed and signed by all the Councillors of the MC Thathri. The Committee has unanimously expressed their gratitude to the district and Sub-divisional administration for the same. 

 

Committee in their resolution has said that the people friendly property tax shall empower the MC Thathri for better services to its citizens. 

 

SDM Thathri Er Athar Amin Zargar has also clarified in a press conference 

Press Confrence regarding Property tax, that minimal amount of tax shall be calculated and collected annually and kept with MC Thathri for creating infrastructure and giving better services to the people of Thathri town.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that DC Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan has issued instructions to the SDMs and EOs to approach the people with the intention of the government in bringing property tax in the UT and how the minimal amount collected can empower the MCs and create facilities for the general public residing in the towns. He himself appeared on the media a few days ago to clear the doubts on the property.
