CMO Doda reviews virtually achievements under NCD implementation.

Doda, March 03; The Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Ab Hamid Zargar yesterday, convened a virtual meeting with BMOs, FMPHWs, MLHPs & Block NCD I/Cs of the District to review the block wise achievement with regard to NCD implementation. 

 

CMO Doda while elaborating on the subject, said that Non Communicable Dieases are responsible for 60% of deaths among population which are mainly due to lifestyle change. He emphasized the need for a serious effort to identify such patients through mass screening for initiation of early treatment and necessary followups. 

 

On this occasion, a detailed Power Point Presentation was delivered by DPM NHM Sh Jahangir Mehta along with DMEO NHM Sh C K Shan, on the status of population based screening for NCDs, diagnosis & followup treatment. 

 

CMO Dr Zargar strictly emphasized for uploading the data on NCD portal as per the target set for each medical block in a time bound manner. He instructed the BMOs to ensure the timely completion of all the task related to NCD by each health facility of their block.
