*GMC Doda celebrates World TB Day with Rangoli, and Posters*

Doda, March 26; The World Tuberculosis Day 2023 was commemorated at Government Medical College Doda which was organised by the department of community medicine. During the occasion an awareness lecture and posters making competition among MBBS students of GMC Doda were conducted by the department of community medicine under the guidance of HOD Dr. Suresh K Kotwal.

 

This year the World Tuberculosis theme is ” *YES! WE CAN END TB* !” which aims to flip public awareness about the devasting health, socio-economic consequences of TB and step up efforts to eradicate global TB epidemic. The event was judged by Principal GMC Doda Dr. Pooja vimesh, HOD Dr. Suresh Kotwal, Dr. Yudhvir kotwal (Medical superintendent), Mr. Mohd Iqbal (CAO), Dr. Walied K Balwan (SR), Dr Arjun singh (JR)and staff. The winner were awarded with certificate of achievements and at the culmination of event and also refreshment were provided to the participants.

Additionally, Dr Walied K Balwan (Senior Resident) delivered a breif note on tuberculosis, its symptoms, treatment and steps to eliminate the TB.
