DODA, March 08: 
 
On the eve of International Women’s Day 2023, the health department in collaboration with 26 RR (Indian Army) organized a mega free medical camp at Village Jangalwar in Medical Block Thathri District Doda. 
 
The camp was held as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration and under Adbhut Doda’s initiative of District Administration and to provide quality health services to the people of District at their door steps. 
 
During the camp, a huge footfall of patients were witnessed in which the medical team comprising of Dr Shamailla Sheikh (MLHP) & Ms Sonika Devi (MLHP) from Block Thathri examined more than 200 patients of different ailments, assisted by the medical staff of Indian Army, whereas free medicines were also provided to the patients on the occasion. 
 
Dr Shamailla Sheikh while speaking on the occasion, said that it is necessary to organize health camps to connect to the general public with different health services and to be aware of them about the beneficial schemes of the department. She also added that the health department under the supervision of District Administration & CMO Doda are organizing regular medical camps in every nook & corner of the District, so that all people get benefit from these camps. 
 
The efforts of the Health Department and Indian Army have been commended by the local population.
