*Revitalisation of Youth Clubs* _Doda Admin finalises activities/ arrangements for first of its Kind ‘Youthon 2023’._

Doda, March 09; Youth Club formation is UT Government’s

special initiative for effective youth engagement and outreach in Jammu & Kashmir under the aegis of Youth Volunteer Program. More than 237 Youth Clubs have been constituted, at least one in each panchayat of the district here. These young volunteers are actively engaged in various community-oriented activities to actualize the objectives of the Youth Volunteer Program in J&K. In furtherance of youth engagement efforts, specific programs have been scheduled across J&K with effect from 20th Feb 2023 to 21st March 2023.

 

District Administration has scheduled a first of its kind Youthon 2023 to be held on 18th of March at Sports Stadium Doda. Under the programme ‘Youthon’ Youth from across the district shall participate in sports/ athletic activities, cultural programmes, discussions, interactions, and other activities. A mega Employment/ Job fair shall be held on the day. Motivational speakers and Counsellors shall motivate the youth for different livelihood pursuits. Activities/ Skits/ Dramas on Nasha Mukht Abhiyaan, Swach Bharat Abhiyaan, and other social issues shall be taken up during the day long Youthon.

 

DC Doda Vishesh Mahajan yesterday took a meeting of key officials and finalised the activities and fixed the responsibilities for the successful conduct of the event. ADDC Doda Pran Singh has been made overall incharge of the event while Deputy Director Employment Doda Idrees Lone shall coordinate all the activities. ACD Doda Phulail Singh and DSWO Doda Tariq Qazi shall assist the ADDC for the conduct of the programme.

It is pertinent to mention here that during the revitalization of Youth Clubs, different youth engagement efforts/ activities are being conducted across the UT, including in our Doda. The activities include; Accelerating Livelihood Generation Programmes of Mission Youth through awareness programs at blocks and panchayats; holding job fairs; counselling of youth; Nasha Mukht Abhiyaan; Green Initiative and planting 5 fruit saplings in each panchayat, etc.
