Empowering Women: DHEW Mission Shakti Awareness Program in Collaboration with Mission Poshan

On January 16 : Guided by the esteemed District Development Commissioner, Sh. Harvinder Singh (IAS), and under the overall guidance and supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Doda, Sh. Tariq Parveaz Qazi, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Mission Shakti Doda orchestrated a transformative awareness program. This collaborative effort, conducted in partnership with Mission Poshan from the ICDS Department in Zone Gundna, aimed to amplify the empowerment of women in the region.

 

District Mission Coordinator (DMC) for DHEW Mission Shakti Doda, played a pivotal role in enlightening Anganwadi Workers about the fundamental functions of DHEW. This session served as a platform to raise awareness about different women welfare schemes, including OAP, WPS, Scholarship, PMMVY, SYS JSY, and various women income generation schemes such as Tejaswini Scheme, PMEGP, JKREGP, PMKVY, RSETI, NMFDC.

Underlining the crucial role of Anganwadi Workers as grassroots-level influencers, the DMC emphasized that their awareness of women-centric schemes enables them to reach women at the grassroots level. Recognizing the potential impact of these workers, the DMC stressed the importance of their understanding in effectively disseminating information and fostering awareness among women in the community.

 

As a fitting conclusion to the program, a heartfelt vote of thanks was extended to CDPO Gundna and all participants. Noteworthy attendees included CDPO Gundna, H&N Mobilizer, and the Accountant from DHEW, collectively affirming the commitment of these key stakeholders towards advancing women’s empowerment in the Doda district. This collaborative effort reflects the dedication of the organizing body, DHEW Mission Shakti, in driving positive change and awareness in women-centric initiatives.
