**Preparations Underway for Republic Day Celebration in Doda** *Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh Chairs Meeting for Republic Day Arrangements*

Doda  January 16 : Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh presided over a meeting held at the conference hall of the DC office complex in Doda. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and coordinate the arrangements for Republic Day 2024. Notable attendees included SSP Doda, ADDC Doda, ADC Doda, ACD Doda, district officers from various departments, executive engineers, and officers from PWD, PDD, and PHE, along with representatives from Higher Secondary School and other senior officers.

 

The meeting revealed that the main Republic Day function in Doda will take place at Sport Stadium Doda. The event is set to commence with the Shehnai wadan program at 7:30 AM by the District Information Centre Doda. Contingents from JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC Senior and Junior Division, as well as government and private schools, are slated to participate in the event.

 

The education department received a directive to submit a list of participating schools and institutions to the DC Doda promptly for logistical planning, including refreshments. The DC Doda further instructed the EO MC Doda and Executive Engineer PDD to illuminate public offices as per past practices. Additionally, the Sports Council was tasked with ensuring a facelift of the venue in advance.

 

The meeting addressed various aspects of the event, encompassing drinking water, power supply, toilet facilities, parking, first aid, sanitation, security, public address system, fire tenders, tableau preparation, seating arrangements, mementos, and refreshments. DC Doda emphasized cleanliness around the venue, health facilities, and efficient traffic arrangements. The final full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration in Doda is scheduled for January 24, 2024, ensuring meticulous preparedness for the grand event.
