Doda, January 30 : Under the guidance of ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, and directed by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) orchestrated a significant road safety awareness event at Paryote Pul, Doda on January 30. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about road safety among the drivers community particularly highlighting the importance of safe practices on hill roads.by fitting the speed limit devices in the commercial vehicles
The event is part of the ongoing celebration of National Road Safety Month, emphasizing the importance of safe practices on the roads. The Motor Vehicle Department Doda organized an awareness camp at Paryote, focusing on the significance of speed limit devices (SLD) fitted in commercial vehicles. These devices ensure that vehicles run at prescribed speed limits, reducing the likelihood of rash driving and untoward incidents.
Considering the unique challenges of hill roads, specific safety measures were highlighted during the event. Factors such as steep inclines, sharp turns, and adverse weather conditions necessitate extra caution while driving in hilly terrain. Emphasis was placed on maintaining safe speeds, using headlights during foggy conditions, and adhering to designated lanes to ensure safer travel on hill roads.
