**Administrative Secy Babila Rakwal Leads Public Outreach in Dradhu Bhaderwah**

In a significant initiative, Administrative Secretary to the Government, Cooperative Department, Babila Rakwal, presided over a public outreach program at Dradhu, in Bhaderwah. Accompanied by ADDC Doda Pran Singh, ADC Bhaderwah Choudhary Dil Mir, and DDC Councillor West Yudhvir Thakur, Rakwal addressed public grievances alongside district officers and representatives of various departments. The event commenced with a thorough inspection of departmental stalls, setting the tone for addressing community concerns directly.
During the public Darbar, a myriad of issues ranging from infrastructure development to employment opportunities and government schemes were brought to light by speakers including sarpanchs, PRIs, and public representatives. These encompassed demands for improved water supply, electricity, healthcare, educational facilities, road connectivity, and tourism initiatives. Notably, appreciation was expressed for the UT government’s efforts in implementing schemes effectively and benefiting the populace.
Administrative Secretary Rakwal, acknowledging the pace of development under the present UT government, emphasized the significant progress across all sectors in the district. She assured timely resolution of raised issues and grievances, highlighting the importance of completing projects within stipulated timeframes. Additionally, Rakwal pledged support for initiatives like road connectivity to boost tourism, completion of NABARD projects, and the establishment of receiving stations.
Rakwal directed officials to initiate the setup of small sports courts to encourage youth engagement in sports activities. Moreover, she urged the promotion of the ‘Home Stay’ concept to enhance tourism and livelihood opportunities in the area. Recognizing the potential of the cooperative sector, Rakwal encouraged youth engagement and applauded women’s participation in self-help groups. The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the administration’s commitment to inclusive development through collaboration between authorities and the public.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC Councillor West Yudhveer Thakur highlighted various issues, demands, and grievances before the administrative secretary. The most important demand highlighted by the DDC Councillor was the car cable project, and road connectivity from Pul Doda to Pathankot and Chamba. He mentioned that 90 percent of road works in the area have already been completed. Thakur also appreciated the Deputy Commissioner Doda for his dedication and passion towards the development scenario in the district. Furthermore, he commended the district administration and the tourism department for promoting and providing infrastructure and facilities to boost tourism in the district.
At the culmination of the public outreach program, the Administrative Secretary convened a meeting with all officers and officials of concerned departments to ensure that the raised issues and grievances during the event are targeted on a priority basis. She directed each department to resolve the concerned issues promptly. All issues, demands, and grievances raised during the event were discussed in detail, reviewed, and assessed by the Administrative Secretary. She directed for their earliest resolution and assessed the progress on execution works under various schemes in the district’s present scenario.
During the meeting, the Administrative Secretary engaged in a thorough discussion with district officers about various ongoing projects. She directed the concerned officers and officials to prioritize important works for early completion to benefit the public. The issues, demands, and grievances raised during the event were deliberated upon with the concerned officers, and the Administrative Secretary directed to expedite the ongoing work.
