*Doda, February 5:* In a laudable move to boost road safety in winter, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) carried out a special campaign at Seri Bazar, Bhaderwah, led by ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, and overseen by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh. This endeavor aligns with the ongoing National Road Safety Month and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, focusing on safe driving practices amidst snow.

 

The initiative seeks to educate drivers on navigating challenges posed by snow-covered roads. ARTO Doda stressed caution and readiness, stating, “Given the winter conditions, it’s vital for drivers to adjust their habits for everyone’s safety.”

 

Under Rajesh Gupta’s guidance, the initiative includes workshops and awareness campaigns, enlightening drivers about snow-driving challenges like reduced visibility and slippery surfaces. Practical tips on safe driving in snow are provided, emphasizing maintaining distance, using winter tires, and reducing speed.
