**DC Doda Reviews preparations of Upcoming Pulse Polio Day** *Planning and Coordination for National Immunization Day*

DODA FEBRUARY 29, Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Harvinder Singh, led a meeting of the district task force to oversee the planning and execution of scheme for the Pulse Polio schedule on 3-5th March 2024, across the district. The objective was to discuss modalities as outlined for National Immunization Day, with a focus on the theme “Vaccines Work For All” for India’s National Vaccination Day on March 3, 2024.

 

During the session, DC Doda directed health department officials to prioritize maximum publicity and awareness for the upcoming national Pulse Polio campaign, commencing on March 3rd, 2024. He assured complete support from the district administration and urged SDMs Tehsildars, BDOs to collaborate with health department officials to make all necessary arrangements for the schedule days . The DC emphasized on publicity well in advance and instructed the CEO Doda to prepare IEC material and mobilise all staff for the upcoming Pulse Polio day celebration in collaboration with education & ICDS department.

 

In preparation for the event, it was disclosed that 507 booths would be set up across the district for the Pulse Polio campaign, including 11 transit points, 20 religious places, and 35 hard-to-reach areas. The DC ensured that all tehsildars and BDOs of their respective areas would guarantee all necessary support and priority movements of health department vehicles during adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the DC directed the Chief Education Officer Doda to ensure the involvement of necessary staff from the education department for smooth conduct of the Pulse Polio campaign.

 

The meeting was attended attended by ADDC Doda,Assistant District Nodal Officer ISM Doda,CMO, SDMs,DIO (info) CEO,Tehsildars, District Immunization Officer, BMOs, and representatives from line departments.
