DLC approves 248 cases under HADP in Doda 

Doda, February 06: District Development Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, who is also Chairman District Level Committee (DLC) under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), presided over a comprehensive meeting of all the members, and approved 248 cases of the deserving applicants, whose cases shall be forwarded to the Chief Implementing Officer (CIO) for final call. 

 

142 cases were approved from Agriculture department included financial and logistic help to the farmer’s for setting up of poly houses, procurement of farmer’s mechanisation tools, Vermi compost structures, Mashroom cultivation and Bee keeping in the district, where as 23 cases of Sheep Husbandry department which were approved included Sheep units with 50 Sheeps/ Goats in each unit, and assistance to FPOs comprising of more than 100 farmers. 07 cases were cleared for Trout units and other Fisheries related activities in the district. Animal Husbandry Department presented 61 cases before the DLC covering Poultry Development, Fodder Development, and Dairy Development in the district, which were approved by the Committee chaired by DDC Harvinder Singh. 

 

DDC also reviewed the achievements made under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district and took a thorough examination of the physical and financial progress achieved by the agriculture department and allied sectors under the HADP. He urged the officers to give wide publicity to the agro-sector schemes and handhold and rope-in maximum farmers to harness the district’s potential in agriculture for overall prosperity and self-reliance of the district in agro products. He emphasized the synchronised efforts for the holistic development of the agriculture sector in the district. 

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda Suresh Kumar, CAO, CHO, CAHO, LDM, Dy Director Sericulture, District Manager NABARD, AD Fisheries, and other officers.
