**Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar Gupta Reviews District Library Doda**

Principal Secretary of Culture, Suresh Kumar Gupta, conducted a visit to the District Library Doda today, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Doda and other department officials. The purpose of the visit was to assess the facilities provided to visitors, particularly the student community.

 

During the visit, Principal Secretary Gupta inspected the various sections of the library, including the Reading Rooms, Senior Citizen Section, students and children Section. He emphasized the importance of proper preservation and maintenance of the library’s historic manuscripts.

 

Deputy Commissioner Doda briefed Principal Secretary Gupta on the extensive collection of the Doda library, boasting over 50,000 books covering a wide range of subjects, including materials for civil service examinations, JEE, and NEET.

 

Furthermore, Principal Secretary Gupta engaged with readers of the library, who expressed their need for the latest books related to various competitive examinations and issues related to sound proofing etc. Principal Secretary assured that their feedback shall be considered in enhancing the library’s collection to better serve the educational needs of the community.
