*Government Degree College Kastigarh Organizes Cleanliness Drive under SWACHAT PAKWADA Campaign*
*Doda, August 10:* In alignment with the ongoing SWACHAT PAKWADA campaign, the Government Degree College Kastigarh organized a Cleanliness Drive aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability among students and staff. The initiative was guided and supported by the Principal of the college, Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, who emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment and encouraged the “Each One Plant One” initiative to foster a greener community.
The event featured insightful lectures on environmental sustainability delivered by Dr. Sumit Kotwal, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science, and Dr. Anupam Lata. Their talks highlighted the crucial role of individual and collective efforts in preserving the local ecosystem, urging students and faculty to take active steps in contributing to environmental conservation.
The students participated enthusiastically in the cleanliness drive, with notable contributions from Babita Devi, Arti Devi, Vitasta Devi, Ritta Devi, Usha Devi, and Samiksha Devi. Their dedication and hard work set a positive example for the entire college community.
Dr. Anupam Lata supervised the event, ensuring that the objectives of the drive were met effectively. The active involvement of non-teaching staff, including Aasya, Manmohan Kotwal, and Sachin Thakur, also played a significant role in the success of the program.
The Cleanliness Drive not only enhanced the college environment but also spread awareness among the local community about the importance of planting trees and maintaining cleanliness. The event concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to continue their efforts toward environmental sustainability.
