*District Doda Hosts Training on Adult BCG Vaccination Implementation Study*

Doda, September 28:- A district-level one-day training program on the implementation study of adult BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guerin) vaccination was organized in Doda district today at Shivalik Guest House Doda.
Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh. Harvinder Singh IAS inaugurated the training program, emphasizing the importance of BCG vaccination in combating tuberculosis disease.
The training event was attended by Chief Medical Officer Doda Sh. OM Kumar, District Immunization Officer Doda Smt. Dr. Varsha, BMOs, healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, from various health institutions across the district attended the training session.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC Doda appreciated the work of Health department officers/officials in combating the Tuberculosis disease in the district and also stressed on the newly BCG Adult Vaccination implementation in the district.
CMO Doda gave a detailed presentation on the BCG vaccination implementation, benefits, efficacy, study methodology, data collection and monitoring for adults in the district. Participants gained hands-on experience and clarity on the study’s objectives, enabling effective execution in the district.
The initiative aims to strengthen tuberculosis prevention efforts in Doda, aligning with the national health mission’s goals.
