General Elections: DEO Doda finalizes communication, transport plan

District Election Officer (DEO) Doda, Dr. Sagar D. Doifode  convened a meeting to finalize the transport and communication plan for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

The meeting was attended by ARO Bhaderwah, ARO Doda, SDM Thathri, Nodal officer Transport, Nodal officer Manpower, Nodal officer AMF and DSP Headquarters.

During the meeting, DEO had a detailed discussion with the officers and finalized the mechanism for the deployment and dispatch of polling parties to the respective polling stations through viable transport facility.

He also discussed communication plan with the concerned authorities and directed them to identify the polling stations which are situated in far-flung areas. It was decided that wireless sets will be installed at those locations where there is no network facility so that uninterrupted communication with polling staff on Election Day can be done easily.

Further, DEO Doda also enquired Assured Minimum Facilities at polling stations and directed the Nodal officer to ensure the timely completion of basic facilities like toilets, water, and electricity.

He also directed all the Nodal officers to work in coordination for smooth conduct of elections in the district.
