Arrangements for Lok Sabha polls finalised at DODA

DODA, APRIL 13: A high-level meeting of the concerned officers was held here today in which the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of Lok Sabha Elections were finalized.

The Lok Sabha Elections in Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency will be held in the second phase on April 18, 2019.

The meeting was chaired by the District Election Officer Doda Dr Sagar D. Doifode, attended by ADDC Doda, ARO Doda, ARO Bhaderwah, SSP Doda,ACR Doda, ASP Doda, ACD Doda besides Nodal officers were present in the meeting.

The meeting discussed all election-related matters like deployment of polling staff, magistrates and security personnel, distribution of poll material, functioning of constituted teams, transportation etc.

The basic facilities kept available at the polling stations, establishment of strong rooms, regulation of traffic and parking issues, communication plan etc. were also discussed in the meeting.

The meeting was also informed that in view of the inclement weather conditions  polling parties for Doda and Bhaderwah AC’s  will be dispatched on 16 morning so that they can reach at earliest on their respective polling stations accordingly.

The District Election Officer exhorted upon the officers to stay in close touch with each other and ensure that all the arrangements including foolproof security arrangements are put in place well in time  for  free, fair and peaceful elections.
