*World Red Cross Day Celebrated With Enthusiasm At DODA*

World Red Cross Day on the theme “What Do You Love About Red Cross” was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal at district headquarters to pay tribute to Jean Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross.
To mark the birth anniversary of Jean Henry Dunant”, District Red Cross Society Doda organized a debate,paper reading, painting competition and cultural program on the theme “What Do You Love About Red Cross” at Boys higher Sec School Doda.
DDC Doda,Dr Sagar D Doifode who is also the Chairman of District Red Cross society, was the chief guest on the occasion.
A large number of students representing various schools of the district participated in the debate,painting,paper reading competition and cultural program held on this year’s theme of the World Red Cross Day”What Do You Love About Red Cross”.
Earlier, DDC Doda hoisted red cross flag ceremony wherein red cross pledge was held by participants,also flagged off a rally of students, which passed throughout the town and finally culminated at Boys HSS Doda. Highlighting the importance of World Red Cross Day,the Deputy Commissioner urged upon the youngsters to volunteer for human welfare and develop in them the principles of universality,impartiality,love,care and sympathy
Besides Eye camp was organised at District Hospital Doda by Social Worker Forum in collaboration with Red Cross Society Doda, moreover a Blood donation camp was also organised where DDC himself donated blood.
Amir Suhail a student of Faridia Model HSS Doda was declared as winner in debate, whereas in Painting, Muskan of GHSS and in paper reading Sabit Jamil of CVP Hss has been declared first.
Other officials who were present during the event are SSP Doda, CMO Doda,CEO Doda,ASP Doda, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Principal BHSS Doda,Director Child line and Exe Secretary District Red Cross Society,Cordinator Child line Doda along with staff and other officials of various institutions.
