*District administration Doda issues advisory,advised people not to move near river Chenab*

DODA, July 19: In order to maintain the dam of Dul Hasti Power Station as communicated, it is informed to the general public to keep away from river Chenab.

 

As per the communication from the management of Dulhasti Power Station of NHPC Limited has cautioned general public of Kishtwar and Doda districts not to move near Chenab river on July 21 from 00:00 hours to 18:00 hours as power station dam shall be opened for periodic silt flushing during this period, the water level of Chenab River may rise by 2-3 metres temporarily during the aforementioned time.

 

Hence everybody is requested not to venture near the River bank. They should also avoid their cattle, their trucks and vehicles going to the River side.
